Print and Scan Instructions
Follow these steps to help ensure accurate OMR recognition.
1) Before You Print
- Print at 100% scale (do not use “Fit to page”).
- Use clear, high-quality print settings.
- Ensure all page markers (corner/edge squares) are visible.
2) How Candidates Must Mark Answers
- Use HB or 2B pencil only.
- Fill bubbles completely and darkly.
- Do not tick, cross, or circle bubbles.
- If changing an answer, erase the old mark fully.
- Keep the sheet clean (no random marks, doodles, staples, or folds).
3) Scan / Photo Capture Requirements
Preferred method: Flatbed Scanner
- Resolution: 300 DPI minimum
- Format: PDF or PNG (preferred), JPG acceptable if clear
- Keep page upright and fully visible
If using a phone camera
- Place sheet on a flat surface
- Use bright, even lighting (no shadows/glare)
- Hold camera directly above page (not angled)
- Keep image sharp (no motion blur)
- Include the entire page, including all corner/edge markers
4) Quick Quality Check Before Upload
- Entire page is visible (nothing cropped)
- All corner/edge markers are visible
- Text and bubble outlines are sharp
- Filled bubbles are clearly darker than empty bubbles
- QR code is clear and readable
- No heavy shadows, glare, or blur
- Page is not rotated sideways/upside down
5) Common Problems That Cause Misreads
- Light or partial bubble fills
- Tick/cross instead of solid fill
- Blurry camera images
- Cropped page edges/hidden markers
- Wrinkled or folded sheets over answer area
- Low-quality scans or poor lighting
6) If Upload Is Rejected
- Re-scan at 300 DPI or retake photo in better light
- Refill faint answers more darkly
- Ensure full page is captured with all markers visible
- Re-upload in PNG or PDF format
Tip: Consistent printing, dark fully filled bubbles, and a clear full-page scan give the highest accuracy.
